It is now confirmed that actress Rekha will be seen playing a mercurial begum in Fitoor, an adaptation of Charles Dickens' classic novel Great Expectations. The begum will be the catalyst in the film, a tempestuous love saga that spans over decades and continents. Katrina Kaif will be seen playing a beautiful heart-breaker named Firdaus, while Aditya Roy Kapur plays a young artist called Noor. Fitoor is director Abhishek Kapoor's most ambitious project and is expected to be shot across many locations in Northern India, including Kashmir and Delhi, along with an undisclosed international destination. The film is scripted by Kapoor and Supratik Sen and will be produced by UTV Motion Pictures in association with Guy In The Sky Pictures. It is scheduled to go on the floors in August 2014.
