Actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who left Pavitra Rishta — the show that made him a household name — three years ago (October 2011) to pursue his career in films, is making a comeback on the show for its final episode.
Curtains will come down on the popular five-year-old show produced by Ekta Kapoor at the end of October. And as the team
gets ready to wrap-up the super successful series, there could have been nothing bigger than getting back the original lead pair — Sushant Singh Rajput and Ankita Lokhande together.
Sushant said, “Pavitra Rishta is and has always been really close to my heart. I learnt a lot during the show but moved on to explore and experiment other domains in acting. But as promised back then, here I am after three years on the show to be part of the culmination of a journey that we all began together five years ago. I am actually ecstatic and look forward to work with the same cast and crew after so long and I must admit, I have missed being on the sets of the show.”
