For director Amit Sharma, shooting for Tevar in a not so-shooting-friendly locations like Agra and Mathura was the biggest challenge. Apart from the location, there was one scene in the film which tested the endurance of the entire team. It was the one that required leading lady Sonakshi Sinha to hang from the fifth floor terrace of a building in Mathura! “When I had narrated the script, I had told Sonakshi about the scene, which comes at a very critical point in the film. But somehow, because of my busy schedule I could not remind her about it before the shoot. So I was a bit stressed and worried when she came on the set on the morning of the shoot. I took her to the terrace and showed her the spot from where she had to hang. Looking at the 100 foot deep plunge, she turned around to me and said ‘wow I am really excited, I love doing all these things’. Suddenly my whole tension vanished because I really didn’t want to do it in any other way, like using a croma,” said the debutant director. Sharma goes on to reveal how co-operative the gutsy actress was during the shoot despite having to hang for more than two and a half hours. “I had to shoot the scene from different angles so it was taking time. And I can tell you that it was not easy to go out there and hang for such a long time; it is really tiring. But despite the discomfort, Sonakshi did not complain at all. I was really pleased with the way it turned out.” Boney Kapoor’s Tevar which also stars Manoj Bajpayee and Arjun Kapoor is produced by Sanjay Kapoor and Sunil Lulla. It releases on January 9.
