Slumdog Millionaire actor Dev Patel recently fell into River Cam while shooting for the English film The Man Who Knew Infinity. The actor lost his balance and had to be pulled out of the cold river in Cambridge by co-actor Jeremy Irons. The pair was standing by the side of the river for the shoot when he slipped down the bank clasping his text books, as part of his role, to save them from the murky waters.

 

Case of missing diary

Salman Khan’s fresh trial in the 2002 hit-and-run case has been further delayed with the police informing the court that after most original statements of witnesses even the case diaries have gone missing. The court has now directed the police to locate the documents by September 12. The police had earlier told the court that only seven of the 63 original statements of witnesses were traceable and the true copies were available.
