The controversy surrounding actor Jayam Ravi and his wife Aarti Ravi’s separation shows no signs of fading, with new developments emerging daily. Recently, after singer and spiritual healer Kenishaa Francis accused Aarti and her family of “abusing” Ravi, the actor’s estranged wife released a strongly worded statement asserting that her silence does not indicate weakness or guilt.

Meanwhile, following an interview with DT Next, during which Kenishaa shared personal details about Ravi and Aarti’s marriage based on what the actor told her, some netizens accused her of breaching the non-disclosure agreement (NDA) with him. For the unversed, psychologists and therapists are bound by confidentiality, meaning they cannot disclose client information without consent.

In response to the criticisms, Kenishaa Francis posted a photo of a bowl of wasabi peas on her Instagram stories, noting, “There’s a difference between a psychologist and a spiritual healer. Their NDA terms also differ. Do me a favour – open google, read up about it and then may it be a day of enlightenment :) Also eat some wasabi’s today pweaseee :).”

In response to criticisms, Kenishaa posted a photo of a bowl of wasabi peas on her Instagram stories.

“As a therapist, it was beyond painful for me to hear about his struggles with Aarti and her parents. No one deserves so much abuse, irrespective of the gender, and I can release all the evidence, with or without Ravi’s permission in the court of law, from my notes of our therapy sessions,” she said during the DT Next chat, adding that Aarti was deliberately trying to “tarnish” Jayam Ravi’s image.

Aarti clarified that her silence should not be misconstrued as weakness or guilt. “In light of the ongoing public commentary surrounding my personal life, I find it important to emphasise that my silence is not a sign of weakness or guilt.”

She mentioned her decision to remain dignified rather than engage with those attempting to “portray me in bad light to conceal the truth”.
