Actress Simran, who extensively worked in Tamil and Telugu film industries during the early naughts, woke up to the shocking news of her manager’s death on Wednesday. M Kamarajan, who has been working as a manager with the actress for the past 25 years, passed away suddenly. The actress took to Instagram to share the sad news with her fans.
Simran made her acting debut in Hindi with the film Sanam Harjai (1995) and acted in several Bollywood projects including Muqaddar (1996) and Angaraa (1996). However, she became a star only in Tamil after successful films like Vaali (1999), Nerkku Ner (1997), Natpukaga (1998), and Aval Varuvaala (1998). She later became a much sought after actress in Telugu and acted in many blockbusters. Simran left the industry on a high to get married to her childhood friend Deepak Bagga and took a break from acting. She later made a comeback with Seval (2008), and followed it with Vaaranam Aayiram (2008), Petta (2019), and Rocketry (2022). She is part of Vikram’s long-delayed film Dhruva Natchathiram. She is also reprising the role of Tabu from Andhaadhun’s Tamil remake Adhagan, which has been in the making for a long time now.
