Netflix is reportedly planning its first ever Pakistani original series and the actor for the same Zahid Ahmed is also almost finalised.

If latest reports are to be believed, Pakistan’s first Netflix original series is in the works. Yes, you read it right. The minds behind this entertainment company are planning its first ever Pakistani original series and the actor for the same is also almost finalised.

Pakistani actor Zahid Ahmed in a recent interview with BBC Asian Network shared that he is “already in talks with a group that is producing the first Pakistani Netflix original production” and that he “has been approached to play the lead.”

The actor is presently shooting for his drama Daldal in London and probably post this he will start his schedule for Netflix’s new show. We tried to confirm the news but Netflix remained unavailable for comment.

Since December last year, Netflix members are able to watch hit Pakistani shows like Humsafar, Zindagi Gulzaar Hay and Sadqay Tumhare on the global streaming service. But this news of a Pakistani original series is all the more exciting.
