Mahesh Babu-SS Rajamouli’s SSMB 29 to bypass the Baahubali way, and take the RRR route

According to a Pinkvilla report, the film, which will hit the screens in 2027, is said to be a single-part film. The globe-trotting adventure, which also features Priyanka Chopra-Jonas and Prithviraj Sukumaran, will reportedly be Rajamouli’s longest film. Quoting a source, the report read that Rajamouli, who isn’t a big fan of how the two-partner system is now mostly being used for merely financial gains and not because the story demanded it, is “restructuring the screenplay in a single-part storytelling format.”

With RRR, which ran for over three hours, being Rajamouli’s longest film to date, SSMB 29 might just break that comfortably. In fact, the report suggested that the film would be almost 200+ minutes, which has already proven to be a winning formula considering the collections of films like Animal and Pushpa 2: The Rule, which ran to a similar runtime.

Even though the makers of the Rajamouli-Mahesh Babu project are remaining tight-lipped about the cast details, and other important aspects of the film, it is getting increasingly difficult for them to do so. Even before the official announcement of the inclusion of Prithviraj and Priyanka, images surfaced from leaked shooting spot stills confirming their presence. So, the report revealed that Rajamouli and team might be officially announcing multiple facets of the film through a 2-minute video that might act as a glimpse into the world.

Expected to be a project made on global standards with an international team working together to go a few steps ahead of RRR, which became a global phenomenon, SSMB 29 is backed by KL Narayana, and will be shot by PS Vinod, and have music by Oscar winner MM Keeravani.
