What to watch on OTT: Grand Tour, Fellow Travelers, Logout and more

Winner of Best Director at the Cannes Film Festival 2024, Miguel Gomes’ Grand Tour blends melodrama and screwball comedy into a cat-and-mouse chase between lovers. Set in 1917, colonial Burma, it follows Edward, a civil servant for the British Empire, who jilts his lovestruck fiancée Molly the day she arrives to be married. As he escapes into an unexpected odyssey across Asia, she quickly follows suit amused by his moves. Grand Tour was the Portuguese entry to the 2025 Academy-Awards.

Fellow Travelers, a period drama created by Ron Nyswaner, will stream in India from this Thursday. Based on a novel, the miniseries chronicles the clandestine romance of two very different men who meet in McCarthy-era Washington. Matt Bomer plays charismatic Hawkins Fuller, who maintains a financially rewarding, behind-the scenes career in politics. Hawkins avoids emotional entanglements – until he meets Tim Laughlin (Jonathan Bailey), a young man brimming with idealism and religious faith.

Logout, directed by Amit Golani and written by Biswapati Sarkar, follows the story of Pratyush (Babil Khan), a 26-year-old social media influencer on the verge of reaching 10 million followers, when his life takes a dark turn. A fan’s obsessive fixation drags him into a chilling game of cat and mouse, shattering his carefully curated world. Logout taps into the modern-day problem of digital dependence. The cast also features Rasika Dugal, Nimisha Nair, and Gandharv Dewan. The film releases on Friday.

This Tamil-language horror thriller is about a group of YouTubers who ventures into a cursed forest to capture footage of the elusive ‘Seven Saptha Kannigal’ and a vengeful spirit. As they are caught in a nightmare, what remains are their shattered cameras. The story of Murmur is told as ‘a found-footage fright fest’ in which each frame reveals something horrifying.
