DDA Housing Scheme 2024: To address the housing needs of lower-income groups (LIG) and economically weaker sections (EWS), the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has introduced the Sasta Ghar Housing Scheme, which will offer a total of 39,573 flats — in affordable, mid-income, and high-income categories.

This initiative will offer nearly 34,000 flats specifically for EWS and LIG categories, with prices starting at approximately Rs 11.5 lakh. The flats under the Sasta Ghar Housing Scheme will be located in various areas of Delhi, including Ramgarh Colony, Siraspur, Loknayakpuram, Rohini, and Narela.

The allocation of these flats will follow a first-come, first-served basis, ensuring that interested applicants can secure their homes promptly. The decision to launch this scheme, along with two others, was made during a key DDA meeting chaired by Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena on August 6, 2024.

In addition to the Sasta Ghar Housing Scheme, the DDA additionally is offering flats under its General Housing Scheme 2024, which includes various categories such as High Income Group (HIG), Middle Income Group (MIG), LIG, and EWS.

DDA Housing Scheme 2024: The documents required

To apply for the DDA Housing Scheme, the following documents are required:

Self-attested copy of PAN card
Identity proof: One of the following is acceptable:
- Passport
- Government ID card
- Driving license
- Ration card
- Aadhar card
Proof of residence: Self-attested copies of any of the following:
- Electricity bill
- Water bill
- Telephone bill
Income proof: Required for the EWS category applicants.
Caste certificate: If applicable.
Handicapped certificate: If applicable.
Self-attested copy of bank account passbook
Duly filled affidavit

DDA Housing Scheme 2024: The payment process

To make payments for DDA flats, follow these steps:

Start by generating an e-challan through the official DDA payment portal.
Payments can be made online using net banking, RTGS, or NEFT from the allotter’s account via a particular family member’s account.
It’s also possible to avail of a housing loan by mortgaging the flat through DDA-recognised institutions.
Individuals with disabilities have the option to pay in cash or through instalments.

Or one can make the payments online:

Visit the DDA Housing Scheme website and click on the “Payments” link.
Select the property type (DDA Flats, DDA Plots, etc.).
Once done, proceed with your online payment by following the instructions.
Enter your login details, including your mobile number, challan number, and captcha code, to complete the payment.

Note: Please ensure that the payment is completed within 90 days from the date of the allotment or demand letter issuance. If you fail to pay the required amount within the specified duration, the flat allotment will be cancelled, and the registration amount will be forfeited.

DDA Housing Scheme 2024: The application process

To apply for the DDA Housing Scheme, follow these steps:

Step 1: Check Scheme Details

Interested individuals can visit the official DDA website at https://eservices.dda.org.in/ to access all relevant details, such as the size of the flats, layout plans, locations, and other relevant information.

Step 2: Pay Application Money

Applicants must deposit an application fee based on the category they are applying under:

LIG	Rs 15,000

Step 3: Adjustment and Non-Refundability

The application money paid will be credited toward the cost of the flat. However, in the event of surrender or cancellation, the application money will not be refunded.

Step 4: Online Application and Flat Selection

Applicants can apply online and choose a specific flat on a ‘First Come, First Serve’ basis.

Step 5: Flat Reservation

When an applicant selects a specific flat online, they will be given 30 minutes to deposit the “application money” online. During these 30 minutes, the flat will not be available for selection by other persons. Once the application money is paid, the flat is reserved for that applicant.
