Members of the Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) who have linked their EPF accounts to Aadhaar can now seamlessly submit their transfer claims online using an Aadhaar OTP, eliminating the need for employer involvement. This initiative, announced by the Union Labour & Employment Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, streamlines the process for individuals with a Universal Account Number (UAN) issued after October 1, 2017, when Aadhaar verification became a requirement. Know the documents required: Members with e-KYC EPF accounts that are linked to Aadhaar can now submit their EPF transfer claims online using an Aadhaar OTP, eliminating the requirement for employer intervention. It is crucial to note that this option is accessible solely to those whose Universal Account Number (UAN) was issued post-October 1, 2017, when linking Aadhaar became a prerequisite. Steps to link EPF UAN with Aadhaar on the EPFO Portal: Go to the official EPFO Member e-Sewa website: and login using UAN and password. To link your Aadhaar number to your EPF account, navigate to the ‘Manage’ menu and select the ‘KYC’ option. On the KYC page, check the box for Aadhaar, then input your 12-digit Aadhaar number along with your name as it appears in the Aadhaar records. After clicking ‘Save,’ your information will undergo verification against UIDAI records. Upon successful validation, your Aadhaar will be linked to your EPF account, facilitating quicker and more efficient transfers while enhancing the overall experience for employees in managing their Provident Fund accounts.
