Court orders life sentence to ex-RJD MLA

A fast track court sentenced former RJD MLA Naushadun alias Pappu Khan and his two associates to life imprisonment in connection with a murder in Biharsharif five years back.

Judge D N Yadav further imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 each on Khan and his associates Md Gulrez and Md Gulfam after the trio was convicted of murdering Alok Kumar alias Lokana in February 2005.

According to the prosecution,Kumar was kidnapped by 10-15 gunmen on February 24,2005 from the house of Nadeem Jafar,presently the Deputy Mayor of Biharsharif,and his body was later recovered from Chainpura locality of the town.

His father Hiralal Mistri subsequently lodged a murder case against the former RJD MLA Khan and two others.
