DMDK functionary,3 others held for petrol-bomb attack

Four persons,including a district-level DMDK functionary,were arrested on Sunday in connection with the petrol bomb attack on the house of party candidate for the Tiruchengode constituency,police said.

Ramesh,DMDK District Deputy Secretary,and three others were produced before a court here which remanded them to 15 days judicial custody.

Ramesh told the police that he hurled the petrol bombs at the residence of Sampathkumar,DMDK District Secretary and candidate for the Tiruchengode seat in the April 13 assembly polls,protesting against his nomination.

In the attack on Mar 22,some two-wheelers and window panes were damaged.
