Constable slapped by volunteer at Lalbaugcha Raja

A woman police constable posted at Lalbaugcha Raja,the citys most popular Ganesh idol,was on Thursday allegedly assaulted by a volunteer of the mandal that manages the site,the police said.

The unidentified volunteer had a heated argument with a male constable at around 12.30 pm at the pandal. The woman constable,Jeejabai Pawar (36),reached the spot after hearing the argument when the angry volunteer slapped her,the police said.
