A local court has awarded ten years’ rigorous imprisonment to a person convicted for raping his own daughter.
Court also imposed fine of Rs 1,000 on Sevekram,the accused.
According to the prosecution,Sevekram raped his daughter when she was alone in the house on July 15,2010,following which she informed her grandfather and neighbours about the incident.
The family members later filed a police case.
The sentence was pronounced by First Additional Sessions Judge,H S Yadav,yesterday.
