Adivasis to contest in 11 Kerala constituencies

The federation will support political parties,institutions and communities which extend help to its candidates.

National Adivasi Federation will contest the election in 11 assembly constituencies as independent candidates to protest against the policy followed by UDF and LDF towards adivasis.

The independent candidates will contest in Thiruvananthapuram,Alappuzha,Idukki,Kottayam,Wayanad and Palakkad districts as the federation has a strong influence on people the federation president P K Bhaskaran told press persons here today.

Political meetings will be held in a bigger way in various parts of the state and names of candidates be announced on march 20,Bhasakaran said.

Adivasis have sizeable number of votes in Aaryanad,Vamanapuram,Cherthala,Poonjar,Peerumedu,Thodupuzha,Idukki,Mananathavadi,Sultanbethery,Kalpetta and Mannarcaud,Aikya Mala Araya Mahasabha president K R Bhasi said.

The federation will support political parties,institutions and communities which extend help to its candidates,he said.
