Admn sends reports on Vadra land deals in Rajasthan

In response to a question raised in the Assembly by BJP MLA Rohitash Singh during the previous Congress government’s tenure, the state revenue department had earlier this year sought details of Vadra’s land deals in Rajasthan

The state administration has found that Robert Vadra, the son-in-law of UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi, had procured 633 hectare land in Bikaner under five companies, out of which he sold 284 hectare making huge financial profit. However, contrary to allegations raised by senior BJP leaders, no land deals by Vadra were found either in Jaisalmer or Jodhpur.

In response to a question raised in the Assembly by BJP MLA Rohitash Singh during the previous Congress government’s tenure, the state revenue department had earlier this year sought details of Vadra’s land deals in Rajasthan. Reports submitted by district collectors last week show ‘nil’ transactions made under any of Vadra’s companies apart from Bikaner, where he is found to have purchased 633 hectare at low prices. The five companies named in the report are Sky Light Realty, North India IT Park, Blue Breeze Trading, Real Earth Estates and Sky Light Hospitality. The transactions were made during the previous Ashok Gehlot government.

Rajasthan Revenue Board chairman Chandra Mohan Meena said, “Reports from all district collectors have been submitted and we have forwarded it to the revenue department that had sought the information to respond to a question raised in the Assembly. The details of the reports are confidential and will be made available only on the floor of the House.”
