Anticipatory bail pleas of Jain,Zile Ram rejected

The Punjab and Haryana High Court today dismissed the anticipatory bail pleas of MLAs O P Jain and Zile Ram Sharma and directed them to appear before a special CBI court in Panchkula within a week.

Reserving orders on their bail applications earlier this week,the High Court had given them interim relief by staying their arrest till the pronouncement. Justice Daya Chaudhary today dismissed their bail applications.

Jain and Sharma will reportedly petition the Supreme Court against the High Court order. The two face charges of abetment to suicide of sarpanch Karam Singh from Kambopura village in Karnal.

Karam Singh was found in serious condition near a Christian cemetery in Karnal on June 7,2011. He was taken to the government hospital where he was declared dead.
