Sources said the Army chief’s two-day visit to the Western Command headquarters in Chandimandir comes just after he reviewed the preparedness along the line of actual control (LAC) in Leh on September 14. A large area of Jammu and Kashmir falls under the operational command of Western Command besides the states of Punjab and Himachal.
