Gadchiroli collector tells state to keep PMRDF out of district

Gadchiroli collector Abhishek Krishna has recommended to the state government that Prime Minister Rural Development Fellow (PMRDF) Mahesh Raut be kept out of the district till an inquiry against him is complete.

Gadchiroli collector Abhishek Krishna has recommended to the state government that Prime Minister Rural Development Fellow (PMRDF) Mahesh Raut be kept out of the district till an inquiry against him is complete.

Gadchiroli police had last week registered offences against Raut and his friend Harshali Potdar from Mumbai for alleged links with Naxals.

“I have recommended he be kept out of district till inquiry is complete,” Krishna said.

Asked if meant he will not work as PMRDF,he said,“It is for the government to decide.”

Police,however,have asked two not to leave Aheri,where they stay. Asked how in that case Raut could be kept out of Gadchiroli,Krishna said,“The matter is between him and police now. He has to be available for interrogation.”
