INLD man files case against Cong leader

Earlier,the INLD members wanted the Speaker to first list an adjournment motion submitted by the party on irregularities committed in purchase of land by Vadra’s Skylight Hospitality. However,the treasury benches made wanted the motion on Chautala to be discussed first.

Amid chaos,the Speaker allowed Congress’ Raghuvir Kadian to speak leading to protests from INLD members. An irate Kadian took on INLD’s Narendra Sangwan,who was standing behind him,saying,“gali gali ka chor nahi hun. Khandani Aadmi hun,tu hatt,hatt,tu hatt”.

Another INLD member,Jagdish Nayyar,also exchanged some heated words with Kadian and later alleged that the Congress member made casteist remarks and threatened to kill him.

The chaos in the House escalated after Naresh Sharma,another Congress member,took on the shouting INLD members saying,“chor machaye shor” and “jaisi karni,vaisi bharni.” At this Chautala’s son and Ellenabad MLA,Abhay Chautala,got up thumping his desk and questioned the impartiality of the Speaker in allowing members to speak.

Later,Parliamentary Affairs Minister Randeep Singh Surjewala,came up with a rustic Haryanvi snub,targeting the INLD in general and Abhay in particular. “Khaagar taade bhi aur bhaage bhi (An intoxicated bull (Khaagar) stares you down but runs away when you confront it),” he said.

Stating that the INLD will stage a walkout,he urged the Speaker,“Yeh log bhaagenge jarur. Adhayakshji,aap sadan ko andar se kundi lagwa lo taaki ye apne neta ki batein sun saken (They would try to run away. Speaker Sir,please get the Assembly doors locked from inside to prevent them from walking out so that they can listen to their leaders’ doings).”
