Panun Kashmir rejects grant of concession to separatists

'We reject the thinking of New Delhi and the US that concessions to separatism and their engagement in J-K,Pak and Afghanistan will douse the flame of terrorism. It is a totally wrong assessment,' Panun Kashmir Chairman said.

Rejecting the notion that granting concessions to separatists will help contain terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir,Panun Kashmir on Friday said the country has not given mandate to anybody to decide the future of the state outside the framework of the Constitution.

“We reject the thinking of New Delhi and the US that concessions to separatism and their engagement in Jammu and Kashmir,Pakistan and Afghanistan will douse the flame of terrorism. It is a totally wrong assessment,” Panun Kashmir Chairman Ajay Chrangoo told reporters.

Lashing at Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for demanding resumption of talks with Pakistan and separatists over Kashmir,Chrangoo said such a move would only give boost to separatism in the state.

Chrangoo,who was flanked by historian and academician Hari Om,said “We also have no doubt that those political quarters in the state which are advocating concessions in Jammu and Kashmir to separatists and Pakistan are acting as over ground workers of the armed militants in the state.”

He said,”We want to state it emphatically that the country has not given mandate to anyone to decide our future outside the frame work of the Constitution.”
