Pleasant day for Delhi,rains expected on Friday

Delhiites experienced a pleasant day today with the mercury hovering just below the normal level and morning mist followed by partly cloudy sky bringing a soothing effect.

The weatherman predicted that the city might receive rains tomorrow.

The day temperature was recorded at 24.2 degree Celsius,two degrees below normal while the minimum settled at 10.1 degrees,a degree less than normal for this time of the season,the MeT office said.

It said there might be mist or shallow fog in the morning followed by partly cloudy sky with possibility of rains or thundershowers towards evening or night. The maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 25 and 11 degree Celsius,respectively,it added.

The city did not get rains since yesterday. The humidity was between 46 per cent and 93 per cent.

The first week of February saw the temperatures rise well above normal levels,but a spell of rain brought the temperatures down. On Sunday too,heavy rains lashed various parts of the city.
