Reacting to allegations that the RSS was running the Modi government, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh Saturday said he and PM Narendra Modi are swayamsevaks — and that is a “well-known” fact. “I want to clarify to everyone that I am an RSS swayamsevak and the PM is also an RSS swayamsevak. No one should have any problem in it,” he said.

Rajnath’s comment comes against the backdrop of a three-day Sangh-Government meet in New Delhi. Speaking to reporters, Rajnath also responded to allegations that by attending a meeting with the RSS leadership, the Union Ministers had broken the oath of secrecy they took while taking charge. “The oath of secrecy cannot be broken by attending a meeting,” he said.
