Amid numerous revelations and leads pulling the Sheena murder case in different directions, the Bora household in Guwahati now has four private guards to ward off those prying for information.

With Mikhail away in Mumbai, these men — reportedly engaged by him through friends — guard the house round-the-clock, refusing let anyone enter.

“Now they don’t even let us take pictures of the house,” said a local TV reporter.

Inside the building named Chanakya Neer, two nurses attend to the Sheena’s old grandparents 24X7.  While Indrani’s father, Upendra Kumar Bora, is reportedly suffering from dementia, his wife Durga Ranee is believed to be bedridden.

“She does not know or remember anything. She is bedridden and has to be fed. She has also developed bed-sores,” Promila Medhi, one of the two nurses told a local television news channel recently. The nurse also said that Bora too speaks incoherently, and spends most of the time lying in his bed.

It was inside this Guwahati house that Sheena, abandoned first by her mother Indrani and subsequently by her father Siddhartha Das when she was just about two years old, grew up without the care of her parents and amid financial hardships.
