RSS workers accused of attacking nuns acquitted by Kerala court

A sessions court in Kozhikode on Saturday acquitted 17 RSS-BJP activists who had been charged with criminal assault on nuns belonging to the ‘Missionaries of Charity’ on 24 Septmber,2004.

Two nuns were attacked at a Dalit colony near Kozhikode,while distributing food provisions to the colony inmates. The assailants manhandled them,alleging religious conversion. The incident was the first such attack involving Mother Theresa’s congregation in India.
