UP: Robert Vadra’s bike rally stopped

Gandhi's son-in-law was using more vehicles against the permitted number of 10 bikes.

The motorcycle rally of Congress campaigner and Priyanka Gandhi’s husband Robert Vadra was on Monday stopped by the district administration on charges of violating the model code in poll-bound Uttar Pradesh.

Vadra was stopped by the authorities while heading towards Salon area of the district for using more vehicles against the permitted number of 10 bikes,District Magistrate J P Gupta said.

Vadra later left for Rae Bareli,he said.

The matter has been brought to the notice of the poll observer and further action will be taken on his advice,Gupta said.

Meanwhile,SP workers stopped Priyanka’s cavalcade for a while between Trishundi and Dhmema Bazar here and raised various issues pertaining to development. They also raised slogans in favour of the SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav.
