The CBI on Tuesday told a Delhi court that it has no objection to the defreezing of the two bank accounts of Siddharth Behura,former Telecom Secretary who along with ex-Telecom Minister A Raja is in jail in connection with 2G Spectrum scam case. "CBI has no objection to defreezing of two saving bank accounts in his (Behura) and his wife's name," senior prosecutor Akhilesh told Special CBI Judge O P Saini. The counsel,appearing for Behura,said that as the bank accounts of his client have been frozen by the agency,he had to borrow money for the treatment of his wife who is suffering from cancer. After hearing the brief arguments,the court reserved its order for Wednesday on the issue and asked Behura to provide the account numbers to it. Behura,meanwhile,also filed an application seeking his production in the court through video conferencing on March 31,the next date of hearing. Behura,arrested by CBI on February 2 along with Raja and his former personal secretary R K Chandolia,is in judicial custody till March 31.
