Ajay Katara acquitted in two cases

Local court acquitted Ajay Katara after police gave him clean chit in its final report.

Ajay Katara,the prime witness in the Nitish Katara murder case,was acquitted on Tuesday by a local court in connection with two cases after police gave him clean chit in its final report.

Katara’s advocate Khalid Khan said Anjula Yadav had lodged an FIR against Ajay and his two gunners in Indirapuram Police Station,accusing them of abducting her husband Dharmendra Yadav on October 2,2008.

In another case,Vivek Bhatnagar lodged a case against Ajay,accusing him of extortion.

The hearing of both the cases was going on in a Ghaziabad court.

The police absolved Ajay of all charges in its final report which was agreed by both the petitioners.

While Anjula refused to give testimony in the court,Bhatnagar said he is satisfied with the report and didn’t want any action against Ajay.

Following retraction by both the petitioners,the court acquitted Katara and the other two accused.
