Shiv Sena leader Uddhav Thackeray on Tuesday said the resignation of Ashok Chavan as chief minister was not enough and action should be taken against everyone involved in the Adarsh Cooperative Housing Society scam. "Chavan's resignation will not end the Adarsh scam. What about other ministers, bureaucrats and defence personnel who were involved in the scam. A strict action has to be taken against them," Uddhav told reporters here. Hinting at more scams in the state like Adarsh,he said all such matters need to be investigated and culprits should be punished. "After 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, then chief minister Vilasrao Deshmukh,Union home minister Shivraj Patil and state Home Minister R R Patil resigned. But later they were rehabilitated on other political posts. This should not have happened," he said. Asked whether former Union environment minister Suresh Prabhu was involved in the Adarsh scam during NDA's rule at the Centre,Uddhav said,"Everyone's role should be investigated. Prabhu is not holding any post at present to influence the investigating authorities." On the removal of Suresh Kalmadi as the secretary of the Congress's Parliamentary Party in the wake of allegations of corruption in the Commonwealth Games,Uddhav said,"Kalmadi was not the only person involved in corruption and action has to be taken against others."
