Commonwealth Games terror plot unveiled by Western agencies

India was put under terror alert after Western agencies warned of attacks by LeT and al-Qaeda.

Western intelligence agencies had alerted India about possible plans of al-Qaeda and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) to disrupt Commonwealth Games,say Government sources.

Threat was specific for October 12,13,according to the sources.

Terrorists were being trained in Afghanistan-Pakistan border areas. They wanted to target a hotel also,say the sources.

There were daily cyber attacks on Commonwealth Games websites which started within two hours of the opening of the event on October 3: according to the sources.
