CWG scam: BJP MLAs demand Dikshit’s resignation

BJP MLAs held a demonstration demanding CBI inquiry into all wrongdoings in CWG projects.

Keeping up their attack on Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit in the wake of her indictment by CAG,all city BJP MLAs on Monday held a demonstration here demanding her sacking and a CBI inquiry into all the allegations of wrongdoings in CWG projects.

The BJP MLAs,under the leadership of V K Malhotra,took out a procession from Shaheedi Park through Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg before holding the demonstration outside the Delhi Secretariat near ITO.

The demonstration was joined by Delhi BJP President Vijender Gupta and scores of party supporters.

The Chief Minister must resign on the basis of the CAG report. We also demand a CBI enquiry into all the allegations in implementation of the CWG projects,” said Malhotra.

In a severe indictment of Dikshit on CWG projects,the CAG cited her “active involvement” in the grant of a work incurring a loss of Rs 30 crore while slamming her government on some projects that led to a loss and escalation of costs of nearly Rs 500 crore.
