Lalu dubs demand for Parliament’s dissolution as insult to MPs

V K Singh demanded dissolution of Parl saying it was not acting in manner enshrined in Constitution.

Taking exception to former Army chief General V K Singh’s recent demand for immediate dissolution of Parliament,RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav said it was an affront to elected members of the Parliament.

“By making such a demand,the General (Singh) has insulted MPs who were elected representatives of the people of India,” Prasad said at the 55th birthday celebrations of Haryana’s Power,Forest and Environment Minister Ajay Singh Yadav.

The former Railway Minister,a

close relative of Ajay Singh Yadav whose son Chiranjeev Rao got married to Yadav’s daughter Anushka recently,was the chief guest.

Gen (retd) V K Singh,in a press conference with anti-graft crusader Anna Hazare on October 29 in Mumbai,had demanded immediate dissolution of Parliament saying it was not acting in the manner enshrined in the Constitution.
