Nashik rape case: Bail plea of NCP MLA,aide rejected

The duo is accused of raping a girl in Nashik's government rest house last month.

A local court rejected the bail application of MLA Dilip Wagh and his personal assistant Mahesh Mali arrested for allegedly raping a girl last month.

The bail application of both Wagh and Mali, currently in judicial custody, was moved in the district court by the legislator’s counsel M Y Kale. After hearing the arguments, the court rejected the plea.

Wagh, the MLA from Pachora in Jalgaon district, was suspended by his party, the NCP,after the case came to light in February-end.

The duo is accused of raping the girl in Nashik’s government rest house on February 21 night after inviting her there on the pretext of helping her get a job.
