No purpose would serve by banning RSS: Digvijay

Congress General Secretary Digvijay Singh does not favour a ban on RSS as he feels that proscribing of the Sangh fountainhead in the past had not been entirely successful.

“There are a number of organisations that are linked with RSS and if the RSS is banned,these will continue its work,” he said on Monday.

He said that earlier also,the RSS had been banned but the experience was not entirely happy or successful.

His comments come on the heels of Rahul Gandhi equating the RSS with banned SIMI.
