Urging Gen V K Singh to continue with his job as army chief, the Supreme Court said that its order should not come in way of his commitment to nation.

Praising his “meritorious” 38 years of service,a bench headed by Justice R M Lodha said he should continue with his work as his bona fide is beyond doubt.

“This verdict should not come in the way of your commitment as you have served 38 years,” the bench said.

“We take pride in having officers like you. You have every right to put your grievances,” the bench said, adding that there was no wrong on part of him in approaching the apex court.
