Suspected Maoists kill BSF jawan

A BSF constable was killed and another injured when suspected Maoists opened fire at them in Shikaripara assembly constituency,where polling was held on Tuesday.

“Supsected Maoists opened fire at BSF’s road opening party at 3 pm near Sarasdangal forest. One constable died after being shot in the head while another suffered wounds in the stomach,” Inspector General of Police V H Desmukh said here.

Polling in this constituency in Dumka district was held along with ten others in the third phase during the day.
