“Mujhe bahut dar laga (I was very scared),” a traumatised 5-year old Samar said as he arrived Delhi along with his parents after surviving the Kalka Mail derailment.
Perhaps the youngest survivor of the accident,Samar was sleeping inside S-9 coach when the mishap took place at around 12.30 pm on Sunday near Malwa station in Uttar Pradesh.
He was woken up by his father Samar,who works in Faridabad.
“We all came out through the emergency door and since then I am completely terrified,” he said.
His father said they reached Kanpur from the accident site by bus and boarded the special train to Delhi.
On his arrival,Samar was administered a tetanus injection for his minor leg injury.
Samar’s mother complained that except tea and biscuits,Railways did not provide them any food during the journey from Kanpur.
