Manmohan Singh Death News Live Updates: The last rites of Manmohan Singh, the two-term former PM and the architect of India's economic liberalisation, will be held tomorrow at Nigambodh Ghat at 11.45 AM. The Home Ministry said that arrangements are being made for a State funeral with full military honours. The Congress Working Committee on Friday mourned the loss of the "true statesman", while pledging to honour his memory and to carry forward his enduring legacy. "Dr Singh's legacy as leader, economist, humble human being will live on, inspiring all to contribute to betterment of our great nation," the resolution stated. Congress Parliamentary Party Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, in a statement today, called the former PM's demise "a deeply personal loss". "In Dr Manmohan Singh's passing, we have lost a leader who was the epitome of wisdom, nobility and humility, who served our country with all his heart and mind," Sonia said. Senior politicians pay final tribute: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP chief JP Nadda, among other senior leaders in the government, reached Dr Manmohan Singh's residence on Friday morning to pay their final respects to the former prime minister. Dr Singh's last rites will take place tomorrow near Rajghat, before which his mortal remains will be taken to AICC headquarters. Dr Manmohan Singh, two-time prime minister and architect of the landmark economic reforms of 1991, passed away at the age of 92. The former prime minister breathed his last on late Thursday evening in Delhi. His mortal remains were brought to his residence in the national capital, where senior political leaders paid their last respects for the veteran politician. Dr Singh's mortal remains will be taken to the AICC headquarters on Saturday morning, after which his last rites will be performed near Rajghat.
