Bandh in Doda over Prof’s ‘objectionable’ remark

Common people in Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda district today observed a complete bandh to protest an alleged objectionable remark by a college professor during a class lecture,which triggered communal clashes leaving four injured,police said.

All shops and business establishments remained closed and traffic was off the roads in Doda,Bhaderwah and Gandoh towns.

There was no report of any untoward incident,police said.

Meanwhile,Doda District Development Commissioner Farooq Khan has ordered a magisterial probe into the Wednesday’s communal clashes in Bhaderwah.
