Ruling out any alliance with the RJD in future,Congress spokesman Shakeel Ahmed on Monday said that Congress would also contest the assembly election in Bihar on its own.
“There will be no no alliance with the RJD in future and the Congress will contest the assembly polls on its own strength”,Ahmed told reporters here.
Asked if the party would seek support from the JD(U) to form the government at the Centre,”so long as Nitish Kumarji is with the BJP,the Congress will never tie up with the JD(U).”

Questioning the saffron party’s stand on terrorism particularly in combating Naxalites,Ahmed said the BJP intended to implement ‘Chhatisgarh model’ to fight Maoist/Naxalite violence in the Country that has completely failed.
Quoting official figures Ahmed said in BJP ruled Chhatisgarh,the incidence of naxalite violence has gone up 127 per cent between 2003-2007 and deaths due to Maoist/ Naxalite violence have gone up by 400 per cent.
Stating that the Congress will implement Andhra Pradesh model in combating naxalites as the state witnessed 76 per cent decline in Maoist violence and 68 per cent decrease in death due naxalite violence.
He said while 577 incidents of naxalite violence and 140 death were reported in Andhra Pradesh in 2003,it came down to 140 and 45 in 2007 recoding a decline of 76 and 68 per cent respectively.

Taking serious exception to the charges of NDA leaders that ‘step motherly’ treatment was meted out to Bihar in devolution of and transfer of resources from the Centre,Ahmed said while the UPA government in five years gave Rs 95,837 crore to Bihar,the central funding to the state during the NDA regime was Rs 49,114 crore.
Thus Bihar received Rs 46,723 crore (95 per cent) more than what it had received during the NDA government at the Centre.
