Jammu and Kashmir government on Monday said Rs 59 crore will be spent on the Nagarnagar project planned for the protection of historical places during the next fiscal year.
“Rs 59 crore will be spent on the execution of Nagarnagar project during the next financial year as part of protection of historical placers of the Srinagar city,” Rural Development Minister Ali Mohammad Sagar said today.
While launching a plantation drive at Hariparbhat hills in the interior city yesterday,Sagar said the drive would help maintain environment balance in Srinagar city.
During the current plantation drive,about 1.9 lakh plants will be planted at different places in the peripheries of Srinagar city by Urban Forestry Division department till the end of this month.
