Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today said his government is determined to carry forward the agenda of equitable development in all the regions of the state.
We are working with a commitment. Administration at all level has been sensitized to reach out to people in all the regions to respond to their requirements and development needs. I have made public interaction essential feature in the day-to-day functions of officials so that they are properly posted with public demands and grievances for early response, he said.
Omar said,besides public meetings and regular interaction with people from various walks of life,he is positively monitoring the development and general scenario in every district through video conferencing.
The coalition government is committed to fulfill its promises made to people on development front and strengthen the economic profile of the state besides bringing in visible improvement in public service delivery system,he said addressing a delegation of over 400 party activists here.
The Chief Minister claimed his government has given new dimension to the development process during the last two years and opened vistas of political stability in the state.
Our innovative initiatives to address unemployment crisis have started yielding positive results,he said and asked the workers and office bearers of his party to make the youth aware of the benefits of the Sher-e-Kashmir Employment and Welfare Programme for Youth (SKEWPY) so that they could earn respectable livelihood not only for themselves but for others.
Omar listed out the measures taken and achievements made during the last two years on development front,especially in health,education and power sectors.
The Chief Minister also asked party workers to gear up at all levels in view of the ensuing panchayat elections in the state.
