Apprehensive over the disruption of normalcy in the Valley for last three summers,Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra today said that everything possible should to be done to ensure normalcy.
Sustained normalcy and peace is pre-requisite for progress and prosperity. Everything possible needs to be done to restore sustained peace and tranquility in the state, Vohra said while addressing a delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Peace Foundation at Raj Bhavan here.
Referring to the situation during the last three summers in the Kashmir,he said not only the process of development and implementation of welfare schemes was impeded but,much worse,the severe disruption of the educational schedules adversely affected the careers of students.
The Governor said that the state possesses high potential in agriculture and other sectors of economy,adding we can only optimally benefit from this inherent strength and natural resources,provided there is sustained peace and normalcy. The Governor released a book titled,Phool Khila Kashmir Ka, written by peace activist Gazi Ghulam Nabi,on the occasion.
