RRB NTPC 2024 Syllabus & Exam Pattern Overview: The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) is yet to announce the exam dates for the Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) recruitment. The recruitment drive aims to fill approximately 11,558 vacancies for both graduate and undergraduate positions. But before the exam dates are out, let's know the exam pattern and syllabus of the examination. According to the eligibility criteria for RRB NTPC 2024, candidates applying for graduate posts must possess a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university. For undergraduate posts, candidates should have completed Class 12 from a recognised board. RRB NTPC 2024: Syllabus As per the exam pattern released by the RRB, both CBT 1 and CBT 2 will include questions from three main sections: general awareness, mathematics, and general intelligence and reasoning. In the general awareness section, questions will cover a variety of topics, such as: - Indian Polity - Indian History (Ancient, Medieval, and Modern) - Art and Culture of India - Geography - Science and Technology - Latest Scientific Innovations - Environment and Biodiversity - Flora and Fauna - Sports and Awards - Indian Economy - Flagship government schemes - Current Events RRB NTPC Syllabus 2024: Download Syllabus PDF for CBT 1, CBT 2, and CBAT In maths, the following topics are covered: number systems, decimals, fractions, HCF, LCM, time, speed and distance, perimeter, algebra, weight and ratio proportions among others. In general intelligence and reasoning few topics are: statements and conclusions, analogies, coding and decoding, puzzles, data sufficiency, relationships, jumblings, maps, and series. RRB NTPC 2024: Exam Format There will be two stages of computer-based tests (CBTs) followed by either the computer-based aptitude test (CBAT) or the typing skill test (TST), depending on the position applied for. The examination duration will be 120 minutes for eligible PwBD candidates accompanied by a scribe. - The computer-based aptitude test is specifically for candidates applying for the station master (SM) positions. Candidates must qualify in each test battery of the CBAT to be considered for the SM post. The CBAT will have questions and answer options available only in English and Hindi. There will be no negative marking in the CBAT. - The typing skill test is for positions such as senior clerk cum typist and junior account assistant cum typist. Candidates must be able to type 30 words per minute (WPM) in English or 25 WPM in Hindi on a personal computer, without the use of editing tools or spell check facilities. - For positions like goods train manager and senior commercial cum ticket supervisor, candidates will undergo two stages of CBTs, followed by document verification and a medical examination. Candidates will be shortlisted for the various stages based on the normalized marks obtained during the CBTs, especially when multiple sessions are conducted for the same syllabus.
