NEW DELHI, MARCH 24: Anwar Kaur, widow of 1984 riots’ victim Naveen Singh, who testified against city Congress heavyweight Sajjan Kumar in the ongoing case at Patiala House courts on March 22, says that there is a threat to her life.

In a complaint lodged at the Tilak Nagar police station, she said a man approached her two days before her deposition with an inducement to testify in Sajjan’s favour. “When I refused, he threatened me with dire consequences,” she said while requesting for police protection. Meanwhile, the National Akali Dal (NAD) has demanded the arrest of Sajjan Kumar along with other 1984 riots’ accused, saying his increasing interference in the matters of Delhi government is a cause for concern.
