KOLHAPUR, JUNE 16: Two persons, including a child, were killed on the spot and 56 others injured, when a truck, carrying a marriage party, overturned near Gargooti, at Nagargaon-Dukarwada Phata in the district on Thursday.

Police said the driver of the truck, on its way to Kolhapur from Gargooti, lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a `U-turn’, leading to the mishap.

Deceased were identified as Dattatraya Varke(truck-driver) and Sagar Kasbekar (10).
