CHANDIGARH, January 12: As many as 86 instructors and supervisors of non-formal education cell attended the training course organised by the non-formal education cell of Chandigarh in collaboration with the State Institute of Education, Sector 32. The course was held from December 23 to January 12.

In his welcome address, Dr H.C Sharma, Director State Institute of Education stressed on the role of non-formal education in developing countries like India and hoped that the enrolled children continued their studies so that the literacy rate among children could improve. Presiding over the function, District Education officer, Joginder Moti called upon the instructors to work dedicatedly to help the less privileged strata of society.
