Chennai, Dec14: An head constable attached to the Chindaripet police station was mugged in Mylapore in the wee hours of Sunday. The constable who was travelling in moped was chased by a robber gang travelling in two motorcycles. He was chased and the gang managed to corner him and he was beaten up. The gang took away his two rings, weighing three soverigns, a watch and Rs. 1,000 in cash.
