NEW DELHI, October 27: Jindal Organisation opened their title campaign defeating Army Green 4-31/2 in well-contested match of the Radha Mohan Rajinder Mohan Gold Cup polo tournament here today.

In another match, ABN-Amro Bank II beat Aravali Polo 7-4 while ABN-Amro Bank I beat Riviera 7-3 1/2.

Against Jindal Organisation, Army Green started with 1/2 goal on handicap. Samir Suhag opened the account for Jindal Organisation by converting a 30 yard penalty and Lokendra Singh increased the lead by scoring one goal in the first chukker to make it 2 to 1/2. Samir Suhag scored one goal again in the second chukker to make the score 3 to 1/2. In the third chukker, Army came from behind and scored three goals through Atul Gupta (2) and N.S. Khera (1) to make the tally 3-1/2-3. Simran Shargill scored one goal for Jindal Organisation in the last chukker to make the score 4-3 1/2.

In the second match, Aravali Polo scored two goals in the first chukker to make the score 2-0. The second chukker was blank. In the third chukker, ABN Amro Bank II scored three goals against one by Aravali Polo. The last game of the day was totally one-sided affair.
